The Nine of Wands shows a man standing, leaning against one of the wands and looking to his right. He is wearing a bandage on his head, and looks as if he has recently been in a fight in which he was injured. His posture is defensive, but he is ready at any moment to fight again. Behind the man are the other eight wands embedded in the ground, indicating a past he has had to face. Although the danger seems to have passed, as indicated by the mountainous terrain behind him, he must still be alert and attentive. The Nine of Wands is itself a symbol of defense, but also of difficulties overcome, after which you should find time to rest and recuperate. However, there is still danger around you, which you are probably aware of. The Nine of Wands advises you to remain vigilant and cautious until the current problems are over, as conflict can escalate at any time. The Nine of Wands also indicates physical danger and the possibility of experiencing some kind of attack. It predicts success in your actions if only you show courage, firmness, and good strategy.
